SCL768 - ( Bundle ) - Enigmatica + Specter Scape - Korg Wavestate / Native
( Bundle ) - Enigmatica + Specter Scape - Korg Wavestate / Native - Description
The unmistakable atmosphere of 90s downtempo was built on contrasts: ancient-sounding voices against electronic rhythms, intimate melodies surrounded by mysterious textures, and hypnotic grooves unfolding inside expansive sonic environments.
Enigmatica + Specter Scape Bundle for Korg Wavestate / mkII / SE / Native explores this musical relationship through 80 Performances and 90 additional Programs, combining the Enigma-inspired sound design of Otto K. Schwarz with the immersive cinematic atmospheres of Alexander Kav.
More than a conventional ambient collection, this bundle offers the musical elements to develop complete electronic arrangements, from distinctive rhythmic foundations and vocal melodies to evolving harmonic layers and atmospheric transitions.
Enigmatica – The Rhythm of Mystery
Enigmatica contributes 40 Performances inspired by the musical world of Michael Cretu and Enigma, revisiting the distinctive combination of Gregorian-style chants, hypnotic rhythms, evocative melodies and electronic atmospheres that helped shape the sound of the 1990s.
The collection brings together expressive vocal textures, Shakuhachi-style flutes, atmospheric pads, melodic synthesizers, basses, processed guitars and recognizable downtempo drum patterns. Sounds such as DR Mea Culpa, DR Sadness, FL Shakuhachi, PD D50 Stories and VO Grecochant Ah reflect its distinctive musical direction.
A dedicated samplebank exceeding 1 GB provides the additional sampled material behind the library's instrumental and vocal character. Five included MIDI files, originally used for the demonstration, offer further material for exploring musical arrangements and the interaction between the presets.
Enigmatica is particularly appealing to musicians who appreciate the mysterious, melodic and rhythm-driven character of classic New Age, ambient pop and downtempo electronica.
Specter Scape – The Space Around the Music
Specter Scape takes a different approach, concentrating on atmosphere, modulation and the expressive possibilities of Wave Sequencing 2.0.
Its 40 Performances and 90 Programs explore evolving pads, sustained drones, cinematic textures and immersive electronic environments. Rather than emphasizing conventional instrumental roles, Specter Scape focuses on how sounds change over time, creating movement through layered synthesis, spatial effects and gradual tonal transformations.
Its palette ranges from delicate ambient environments to darker cinematic landscapes, providing material for emotional soundtracks, science-fiction atmospheres and experimental electronic compositions.
Unlike Enigmatica, Specter Scape relies entirely on the Wavestate's factory sample content and requires no additional multisample library.
Beyond the Classic Enigma Atmosphere
What makes these two collections particularly effective together is their ability to connect recognizable musical elements with a much wider cinematic environment.
Enigmatica can establish a composition through a hypnotic beat, an evocative flute melody or a distinctive vocal phrase. Specter Scape can then extend that musical idea with expansive pads, evolving textures, subtle motion and atmospheric depth.
A downtempo arrangement can begin with the rhythmic and vocal character of Enigmatica before opening into the more abstract soundscapes of Specter Scape. Conversely, a cinematic piece built around evolving synthesizer textures can acquire a stronger melodic identity through Enigmatica's flutes, voices, basses and rhythmic elements.
This relationship creates possibilities for 90s-inspired ambient music, New Age, downtempo, chillout, cinematic scoring, atmospheric pop and experimental electronic production. It also offers musicians the flexibility to move between structured compositions and more exploratory sound design.
Enigmatica + Specter Scape Bundle combines the musical identity of Enigma-inspired electronic production with the expressive depth of modern cinematic synthesis. With 80 Performances, 90 additional Programs, an extensive custom samplebank and five MIDI files, it gives Wavestate musicians a distinctive palette for creating music with rhythm, mystery, atmosphere and emotional character.
