Vintage Synth JV Edition - Kurzweil K2700 ( 52 performances ) - Description

Vintage Synth JV Edition for Kurzweil K2700 brings one of the most recognizable workstation sound palettes of the 1990s into a new performance environment.

The collection includes 52 sampled sounds created from material captured from original factory presets of the classic Roland JV synthesizer family. Rather than merely designing patches that resemble the general character of the JV era, this library starts from the actual sound material of those instruments and rebuilds it for use inside the Kurzweil K2700.

That distinction is central to the product.

This is not simply a bank of “’90s-inspired” presets. The objective is to preserve the identifiable tonal language of a generation of digital workstations: bright stage pianos, electric pianos, organs, synthetic brass, deep basses, direct leads, glossy strings, vocal textures, fantasy layers, orchestral colours and atmospheric pads that immediately evoke the sound of the period.

The Sound of the JV Workstation Era

The JV family became known for its ability to cover an unusually broad musical territory inside a single instrument. Vintage Synth JV Edition reflects that same philosophy by moving deliberately across different keyboard and synthesis roles instead of concentrating on one narrow category.

The collection begins with highly usable piano and electric keyboard material such as 64voicePiano, Power Grand, MIDIed Grand, West Coast, Delicate EP, Octa Rhodes1 and JV Rhodes+.

These sounds provide the practical keyboard foundation of the library, suitable for pop, rock, ballads, live arrangements and productions where the unmistakable clarity of a ’90s workstation piano or EP is part of the musical identity.

The organ and keyboard section expands the palette through sounds such as Full Stops, Purple Spin, D-50 Organ and Poly Key, giving the collection additional material for layered arrangements and performance setups.

Brass, Bass and Leads with Classic Digital Character

A major part of the JV vocabulary comes from its synth-oriented sounds.

Poly Brass, Poly Rock, Brass Attack, MKS-80 Brass and True ANALOG cover different shades of synthetic brass and analog-influenced colour, while 4 Pole Bass, Mondo Bass, Super Jup Bs and Super JX Bs provide the low-frequency side of the collection.

The lead section includes SquareLead 1, SquareLead 2, Sawteeth, Little Devil, 5th Lead and Air Lead, offering sounds designed to sit clearly in melodic and electronic arrangements.

This gives the library a useful balance between workstation realism and overtly synthesizer-based material.

Strings, Voices and Atmospheric Layers

The more cinematic and textural side of the collection appears through patches such as Fantasia JV, BellVox 1080, Fantasy Vox, Arasian Morn, Beauty Vox, Spaced Voxx, Glass Voices, Film Octaves and Glassy Pad.

These sounds capture another important part of the JV identity: the ability to move quickly from conventional keyboard parts into evocative digital textures and atmospheric layers.

The string section extends this further with Real Pizz, JP-8 Str 1, JP-8 Str 2, JP-8 Str 3, Vintage Orch, JUNO Strings, PWM Strings, JP-8 Hollow and Heirborne.

Together, these presets provide material for pop arrangements, cinematic textures, ambient passages, retro production and layered keyboard parts.

More Than a Nostalgia Bank

The value of Vintage Synth JV Edition is not simply historical recognition.

For modern Kurzweil K2700 users, these sounds remain musically useful because they occupy a space that many contemporary libraries deliberately avoid: the polished, direct and unmistakably digital workstation character of the 1990s.

That character works particularly well in:

• Pop and rock arrangements

• ’90s-inspired productions

• Retro electronic music

• Live keyboard setups

• Ambient and cinematic layers

• Soundtrack production

• Layered workstation-style arrangements

• Producers looking for recognizable digital synth colour

The collection also works as a practical source of contrasting material. Pianos and EPs can provide the harmonic base, brass and leads can move into the foreground, basses can anchor the arrangement, while strings, voices and pads create width and atmosphere.

Original JV-Derived Source Material, Rebuilt for K2700

At the core of the library are samples captured from original Roland JV factory sounds.

These sampled sources have been mapped and prepared specifically for the Kurzweil K2700 version of the collection, giving the user access to classic JV-derived material without treating the library as a generic sound-alike bank.

The result is a compact but wide-ranging collection of 52 sounds that reflects the different roles that made the original JV instruments so useful: acoustic-style keyboards, digital synthesis, orchestral layers, analog-inspired colours and atmospheric textures inside one coherent library.

Vintage Synth JV Edition for Kurzweil K2700 is therefore aimed at musicians who want more than retro flavour. It offers a focused reconstruction of a specific workstation era, with sounds that remain immediately playable and relevant in both modern productions and live performance.
