DVK047 - PF Library Vol. 1 - Pink Floyd-Inspired Tones - Boss GT1000 / GT1000 Core ( 7 Presets )
PF Library Vol. 1 - Pink Floyd-Inspired Tones - Boss GT1000 / GT1000 Core ( 7 Presets ) - Description
PF Library Vol. 1 for BOSS GT-1000 / GT-1000CORE is a collection of 7 custom guitar presets featuring 14 sound variations, inspired by the distinctive guitar tones of Pink Floyd and David Gilmour.
Developed to reproduce the musical character of Gilmour's guitar work, the library explores spacious cleans, expressive lead sounds, dynamic crunch tones and delay-based textures. From atmospheric rhythmic passages to sustained melodic solos, PF Library Vol. 1 brings together the tonal elements associated with some of Pink Floyd's most recognizable guitar arrangements.
Its musical identity is built around clarity, sustain, spatial effects and expressive guitar dynamics, with sounds designed for both live performance and recording.
Classic Pink Floyd Guitar Tones
At the centre of PF Library Vol. 1 is a selection of guitar sounds that reflect the contrast between Gilmour's atmospheric clean playing and his distinctive lead tone.
Clean sounds combine clarity and spatial depth, supported by carefully adjusted delays, reverbs and modulation effects. Crunch and lead variations introduce additional drive, sustain and presence, providing contrasting tonal characters for melodic phrases, rhythm guitar and expressive solos.
The collection includes sounds inspired by different aspects of the Pink Floyd guitar style, ranging from spacious delay-based passages to more direct and powerful lead arrangements.
Two Sound Variations per Preset
A defining feature of this library is its use of the BOSS GT-1000 Divider 1 channel selector, configured to provide two different sound variations within each preset.
Depending on the patch, the channel selector allows guitarists to move between combinations such as clean and delay, crunch and lead, or two different rhythm and solo characters.
With 7 presets and 14 selectable variations, this approach provides greater flexibility while keeping the sound library compact and straightforward to navigate.
The variations are already programmed, allowing musicians to access contrasting amp and effect configurations without rebuilding the signal chain.
Effects and Expressive Performance
PF Library Vol. 1 combines amp programming with delay, echo, chorus, reverb and boost effects to recreate the spatial and dynamic qualities associated with Pink Floyd's guitar sound.
Effects have been adjusted according to the musical role of each preset, providing atmospheric depth for clean passages, rhythmic movement through delay-based textures and additional presence for lead sounds.
Attention has also been given to dynamic response and touch sensitivity, helping guitarists retain expressive control through picking intensity and playing technique.
The resulting sounds are suitable for melodic solos, atmospheric rhythm parts and arrangements that move between restrained textures and more pronounced guitar tones.
Dedicated GT-1000 Performance Controls
The library includes preconfigured control assignments for the full-size BOSS GT-1000, designed to provide practical access to the presets and their effect functions.
The control configuration includes the Divider 1 channel selector, a Manual control for accessing assigned effect blocks where applicable, a tuner function through a long-press assignment and dedicated BPM control for delay-based effects.
These settings are intended to simplify live operation, allowing guitarists to manage sound variations and selected effects directly from the pedalboard.
The patches are also compatible with BOSS GT-1000CORE, although its different physical switch layout requires the control assignments to be adapted to the available switches or external controllers.
Designed for Live Performance and Recording
PF Library Vol. 1 is intended for guitarists who want access to recognizable Pink Floyd-inspired tones within the BOSS GT-1000 sound environment.
For tribute bands and live performers, the collection provides complementary clean, crunch and lead sounds with practical switching between variations.
In the studio, its combination of amp tones and atmospheric effects offers material for recording melodic guitar parts, spacious arrangements and progressive rock textures.
PF Library Vol. 1 brings together 7 carefully programmed presets and 14 sound variations for BOSS GT-1000 and GT-1000CORE, combining classic Pink Floyd-inspired guitar character with expressive effects and performance-oriented sound control.
