SYNTHONIA LAB CLINICS

Intensive workshops that combine live performances with in-depth technical analysis: concert-lectures focused on practical demonstrations, sound analysis, and explanations of professional workflows, ensuring participants stay up to date on the latest technological and methodological developments in the field.

Method

Hands-on workshops, guided listening sessions, live demonstrations, practical exercises, sound design, and interactions with professionals active in the industry. The workshop will also provide direct access to professional and vintage equipment including synthesizers, keyboards, guitars, basses, amplifiers, and more selected and prepared for educational activities, demos, studio work, and production.

Professionals Involved

The courses are designed to combine training and music production, creating a direct link between students, instructors, and industry professionals. The activities involve music production professionals, specialized educators, and accredited experts in the Steinberg and Yamaha communities, with advanced expertise in the use of creative tools, professional software, studio workflows, sound design, recording, mixing, and audio production.

Research, Development, and Opportunities

The Music Industry Research and Development Division was established to bridge the gap between education and the professional world, offering partner institutions the opportunity to expand their educational offerings with skills, resources, and activities aligned with the music market and contemporary culture. SYNTHONIA LAB maintains an experimental approach and is open to co-designing specific activities.

A Flexible Format

The format is modular and can be offered in various educational settings to complement the educational program either as a comprehensive course or through individual activities, workshops, or specific modules.

Synthonia Lab CLINICS enrich the educational offering by introducing intensive one-day events that combine live performance with in-depth technical analysis, providing participants with the opportunity to meet directly with professionals, session musicians, and producers from the music industry.

The format consists of concert-style lessons focused on practical demonstrations, sound analysis, and explanations of professional workflows.

The experience allows participants to attend live showcases, delve deeper into the study of signal chains, discover how to use synth workstations, arrangers, software, DAWs, and plugins, and explore hardware setup management directly with industry experts.

The effectiveness of this approach lies in moving beyond traditional teaching methods in favor of an immediate transfer of skills in a real-world setting.

Watching a professional tackle and resolve the real-world dynamics of production or live performance accelerates the learning process, demystifying complex processes that would otherwise require years of independent study, while also bridging the gap between the academic environment and the actual standards demanded by the contemporary market.

The Synthonia Lab CLINICS represent the pinnacle of our training standards. Each session is led by professionals and guarantees access to exclusive know-how.

The inclusion of these events in the curriculum ensures that students stay up to date with the latest technological and methodological developments in the field, offering a high-level specialization program strongly focused on professional growth.
