Three different approaches to piano sound, each with its own tonal identity, dynamic response and musical applications.

The C7 Grand Piano provides the acoustic foundation of the collection, offering a rich harmonic character, resonant low frequencies, articulate midrange tones and a clear, expressive upper register. Its detailed multisampling and velocity-sensitive response support natural transitions between delicate passages and more powerful playing, making it suitable for solo piano, jazz, pop, classical-inspired arrangements and contemporary studio production.

The Vintage Rhodes introduces a contrasting electric piano character, defined by its warm harmonic body, distinctive bell-like articulation and dynamic response. From mellow jazz voicings and soulful accompaniment to brighter, more percussive funk and fusion performances, its expressive tonal variations capture the musical personality associated with classic tine-based electric pianos. This gives the bundle a versatile electric keyboard voice for both traditional and contemporary arrangements.

Completing the collection, the MKS-20-inspired Digital Piano explores the recognizable electronic piano sounds of the 1980s and 1990s. Bright, defined attacks, warm digital textures and chorus-rich tonal colours recall the character of vintage digital keyboards widely associated with pop, synth-pop, jazz fusion and soundtrack productions. Its distinctive sound provides an alternative to acoustic and electromechanical pianos, particularly in arrangements where clarity, electronic presence and spacious harmonic textures play an important role.

The value of K-Space Ultra lies in the musical contrast between these three instruments. The acoustic grand provides depth and natural expression, the Rhodes-style piano adds warmth and rhythmic articulation, while the vintage digital piano introduces a brighter electronic identity. Together, they allow keyboard players to move between different musical periods, playing styles and production requirements without relying on separate external instruments or software.

Developed for Yamaha MONTAGE and MONTAGE M, the bundle uses multisampled sound material and keyboard mapping adapted to the Yamaha workstation environment. Once installed, the expansions can be played directly from the hardware, making the collection practical for live performance, rehearsal and studio recording.

K-Space Ultra offers a focused selection of acoustic, electric and digital piano sounds for Yamaha MONTAGE and MONTAGE M, bringing together three complementary tonal characters in one collection for musicians seeking expressive dynamics, vintage keyboard colours and greater versatility across different musical styles.

HOW TO LOAD INSTRUCTION

Yamaha ® is a registered trademark of Yamaha Corporation which owns all rights on it.
